The construction giant had hired the truck operators to carry materials to construction sites in several northeastern provinces, Mr Chollawit said. “From April to August many truck operators hired by Nintan received no payments from the firm. When they went to the firm’s head office in Khon Kaen, no one of management showed up to see them, Mr Chollawit said. He earlier lodged a complaint with the government's Damrongtham Centre in Phetchabun, his home province, which forwarded the case to the complaints centre in Khon Kaen. The truck operators were in dire need of money to pay their bills and workers the wages due them.
